Description
- START&STOP technology was invented to reduce fuel consumption and C02 emissions into the atmosphere, and so protect the environment.
The principle is simple: each time you stop, the vehicle's engine switches off automatically.
A battery for a START&STOP vehicle must therefore be able to withstand numerous stops, supply the electrical consumers of new-generation vehicles and support rapid recharging.
Conventional starter batteries are not suited to meeting these new requirements. TECHNI-POWER EFB batteries are specially designed to meet the requirements of vehicles with simple automatic START&STOP systems, without additional fuel-saving functions.
They equip vehicles with entry-level and mid-range equipment without sophisticated accessories.
Anatomy of EFB Technology.
The EFB Battery is an optimised liquid battery.
The thick lead grids are isolated from each other by a microporous separator.
An active material attached to the lead grids helps to extend the battery's life.
